Cancellations

Can I change or cancel my order?

  • We will attempt to cancel your order if requested within 1 hour of the order being placed.
  • During support hours (9 AM–5 PM ET, Mon - Fri), a Customer Experience agent will check the order status and do their best to complete your request.
  • Outside of business hours, our Chat Agent can cancel eligible orders automatically if you specifically request "cancel".

Please note: If a cancellation isn’t possible, you’ll be able to return or exchange the order once it is received.


Out Of Stock Items

What if something I like is out of stock?

  • Join the waitlist on the product page by selecting your size and entering your email. We’ll notify you if it’s restocked. Limited-edition collaborations will not restock.
  • If you receive a notification that your exchange item is out of stock, please reach out to [email protected] for assistance.

When will my order ship?

  • Orders are processed in 1–2 business days, except on holidays. Orders placed after 11:30 AM ET ship the next eligible business day. You’ll receive a link with tracking information within 24-48 hours after leaving our New Jersey distribution center.
  • Please allow for longer order processing times during sales and promotions.
  • Orders containing custom embroidered items will be processed within 5-7 business days.
  • Note: Your order may arrive in multiple shipments. You'll receive a separate shipping update and tracking number for each package. No additional shipping fees will be charged.


Where can I track my order?

  • You will receive a tracking email separate from your order confirmation email.
  • You can reference the tracking information there, or enter your order number and email in our tracking portal linked HERE.
  • Tracking updates may take up to 48 hours.


Which carriers do you use?

  • Standard: USPS, DHL, or UPS
  • Expedited: UPS


Do you offer international shipping?

Unfortunately, international shipping is unavailable at this time.



Do you ship to PO boxes, APO/FPO/DPO, or territories?

  • Yes, via USPS for standard shipping. Expedited shipping requires a street address.
  • APO/FPO/DPO delivery typically takes 12 –20 days, depending on military processing.


Do you offer weekend delivery?

  • No. Deliveries are available Monday–Friday, except on holidays, based on carrier schedules.

Do you offer price adjustments?

Unless otherwise stated in our promotion terms and conditions, if a full-price item goes on sale within 10 days of purchase and is still in stock, we’ll refund the difference to your original payment method. Sale items will be allowed a one-time adjustment within 10 days and be refunded to a store credit for a future purchase.



Where do I enter discount codes?

On the first page of checkout, in the “Gift card or discount code” box.



Why is my discount code not applying?

Please check the promotion terms and conditions, as most discount codes apply to full-price items only and cannot be combined with active promotions. For more details on all of our active discounts and promotions, click here.


If your cart meets the qualifications in the promotion terms and conditions and the discount still isn’t applying, please contact our team for help.


Where is my gift card?

Gift cards are sent digitally via email. If you can’t find it, check spam/promotions or contact us.



What is your return policy?

  • 45 days from order date for refund or store credit.
  • Checkout+: Add protection at checkout for $1.98 to cover any return or exchange of items within that order without fees. Final sale items are excluded and cannot be returned or exchanged. Only applies to orders that included a Checkout+ purchase; it does not run in perpetuity.
  • Happy Returns Bar: $4 drop-off at a participating location (QR code provided).
  • Box & Ship (prepaid USPS label): $9 fee.
  • Refunds are issued within 1–2 weeks after your package is received.


Do you accept returns on sale items?

Sale items marked "Exchange Only" are not valid for return or refunds and are eligible for exchange or store credit only within our standard 45-day exchange window. Sale items marked "Final Sale" are not valid for returns, exchanges, or refunds.



Can I return women’s swimsuits?

No, all Women's Merchandise is Final Sale.


I bought Fair Harbor somewhere else. Can I return or exchange it through you?

  • We can only offer refunds, returns, or exchanges for eligible orders placed on fairharborclothing.com.
  • If you purchased through another retailer (like a retail store, Amazon, or a third-party website), returns and exchanges must be handled directly with that seller, following their return policy.


What is an Instant Exchange?

Your replacement ships immediately to secure your size. A $1 temporary hold is placed on your card. If your return isn’t mailed within 28 days, the full item price will be charged.


Can I return multiple orders in one package?

Yes, if using a Happy Returns Bar. For Box & Ship, print a label for each order. If already combined, email us with all order numbers so we can process your return correctly.



What is the “Shop Now” feature?

Our Shop Now feature allows you to use your Fair Harbor return credit immediately toward purchasing something else on our site. Instead of receiving a standard refund, you can apply the credit toward any new item of your choice.


How does Shop Now work?

When you start a return within our returns portal, you’ll see the option to:


  • Exchange eligible styles for a different size or color, or
  • Use your return credit toward any available items in our assortment.
  • If you choose Shop Now, your return credit is applied instantly at checkout so you can complete your new purchase at the time of making your selections.


Do I receive extra credit by using Shop Now?

If the item you’re returning was purchased during a promotion or with a discount code, your refund amount may be lower than the item’s current full price. Choosing Shop Now gives you an increased spending amount so you can reorder the size/color you want at full price without paying extra out of pocket. This credit is automatically applied during the Shop Now checkout and isn’t issued after the order is placed.

Please note: this is not a store credit or gift card—it can only be used at the time you select the Shop Now option during your return.

Can I choose Shop Now after submitting my return?

  • No. The Shop Now option must be selected during the initial return process.
  • If you complete your return for a refund and place a new order separately, the additional Shop Now credit cannot be applied retroactively.
