Most dads and granddads we know say they already have everything they need. But for Father’s Day, no guy can resist the greatest gift of all: comfort. So we asked a few of our Fair Harbor fathers about the feel-good essentials that keep them smiling all summer—and beyond. Here’s what they said.

The Ozone
I appreciate the versatility of Ozones. I can wear them on a hike, to the gym, to practice, to the beach, or even a night out in Rio de Janeiro. I love the dark pattern that the FH design team and I developed in our new collaboration because it's a little abstract at first. At first it just seems like an interesting texture or pattern, but then you realize it's one of Nature's most beautiful designs. The dark pattern also adds to the versatility. You can train in them, take them into the mud, sand, and water and they'll be just fine.
The Kids Anchor
I've never been into father/son matching shorts, but these Ozones and Kids’ Anchors changed my mind. It's really fun to wake up on a Saturday and hear my son Quim asking to wear our special matching boardshorts. He's already fired up to help design the next pair. It's also been nice to have one pair of shorts for him that he loves, and we can take for whatever adventures we get into.

The Anchor Short (Solid)
Once the long pants retire into the closet for the season, I live in my collection of Anchor shorts. I like a solid slate Anchor for mountain hikes, or yard work and gardening, which are some of my favorite ways to connect with Mother Nature.
The Anchor Short (Patterned)
I usually opt for something spicier for walking the beach, social gatherings, and driving my Jeep Wrangler around town with the top and doors off, like the Yellow Tropics and Red Hawaiian Floral Anchors.
SeaBreeze Hoodie & SeaBreeze Henley
And to top off my ensemble, I layer it up with a supersoft Print Kismet Tee or Orange Henley, with a Thyme SeaBreeze Hoodie. They keep me covered from cool to hot and back again, with plenty of coverage to keep my dad-bod the right temp all the time!

The Bayberry
The Bayberry was my first pair of Fair Harbor shorts that made me a fan before I even started working here for the brand. I love the prints, the classic/preppy look, and the oh-so-soft bit of cotton in the fabric. I wear them at the beach for the afternoon, followed by grilling dinner with the family.
The Bungalow
The sun-washed, vintage look of the Bungalows remind me of my old rock climbing shorts from college, but these are way more comfortable. They are my all-day Nantucket shorts: Coffee at the Sconset Market and a walk with friends (kids and dogs in tow) in the morning. Quick bike ride to pick up lunch in town – there’s no need to ever change out of the Bungalows. I love the solid colors that I can easily pair with a button down.
The SeaBreeze Hoodie
I love the UPF 50 sun protection aspect of the SeaBreeze Hoodie. I’m always applying sunscreen on my kids, so it’s nice to practice what I preach. This hoodie is super-lightweight and breathable so it doesn’t get hot. I took it with me on a recent trip to Mexico and wore it while everyone else was getting fried at the pool. I didn’t burn or break a sweat.

The Bungalow
I’m from a tropical country, so I love anything tropical and colorful. The Bungalow’s vintage-inspired prints are very cool and unique. Mesh lining always feels like sand on my skin, but the BreezeKnit fabric inside the Bungalow feels so cool and soft sometimes I forget there’s even any lining in the shorts. I enjoy wearing these to the local beach, Green Lakes State Park, here in Upstate New York. They’re perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and walking with my dog, Sihak (which means "lion king" in Cambodian.) They’re even great for kayaking in Cazenovia Lake.
The Boardwalk Dad Hat
I spend a lot of time outdoors—starting in the early morning, when I go fishing and kayaking—so a hat is essential for protecting my skin from the sun. This classic style is perfect for wearing everyday.

The Sextant
I love Sextants because I can dress them up, and dress them down. I wear these to the pool often, and just like any Fair Harbor short, they stretch when I need them to and dry quickly. I can just as easily throw a polo on with them and wear them to dinner. They are great for traveling too—it helps me pack light when I have shorts like this that I can wear anywhere, anytime, anyplace.
The Ravello Terry Polo
I’m always looking for a combination of versatility and style, so this terry cloth polo is a favorite. It’s so easy to dress it up or down and you can wear it for a day at the pool, traveling, going out to dinner, you name it.
