Jeremy Casebeer
BRAND ATHLETE
Jeremy (A.K.A. The Lorax) is a professional beach volleyball player on the AVP tour who splits his time between Rio de Janeiro and California. Jeremy has gone back to school at UCLA, his alma mater, and is earning his Certificate of Sustainability and is determined to bring sustainability into sports. When he’s not attacking the net, he loves exploring nature, hiking, surfing, taking photographs, and camping in his converted Toyota camper truck.
“My day revolves around training. The Ozone short allows me to go straight from training at the gym to the beach, and for a surf or swim after. I can also wear them for a hike, around town, or just lounging at home. They also have an ultra-comfy BreezeKnit liner. Having one short for wherever my day takes me is a beautiful thing."
Jeremy is the voice for the sustainability generation; he speaks for the trees, the beach, and the ocean. Through his efforts to bring sustainability into sports Jeremy became a Climate Responsible Athlete: measuring his carbon footprint, taking actions to reduce it and offset the rest. He is also the Program Chair for non-profit AVP First, and a board member of Players for the Planet.
“I am constantly looking for ways to reduce my impact. The ozone is made from 12 post consumer plastic bottles, and because they’re so versatile, one pair of Ozone’s covers the job of multiple pairs of shorts.”
