For orders placed on or after January 5, 2026, eligible items may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund or store credit. Returns must be initiated through our Returns Portal within this 30-day window.
- Note: We will honor our 45-day return window for all orders placed before January 5, 2026.
- Returned items must be unworn, unwashed, and with original tags.
- If your order isn’t protected by Checkout+, you can return it using a prepaid label for a $9 fee, or drop it off at a participating Happy Returns location for just $4.
Items marked “Final Sale” and “Exchange Only” are not eligible for refunds.
- Exchange Only items may be exchanged or returned for store credit only in the form of a Fair Harbor gift card.
- Final Sale items are not eligible for returns, exchanges, or refunds.
All orders containing a gift with purchase are eligible for exchange only.
All gift card purchases are final sale, non-returnable, and non-refundable.
Loop Returns is the platform we use to make returns and exchanges quick and easy. It integrates directly with our system and connects to Happy Returns’ Return Bar network, providing a seamless return experience.

Return Bar Drop-Off ($4)
If you select the Return Bar option, you can drop off your return at a participating location for just $4.
Here’s how it works:
- Start your return through our online returns portal.
- After your return is initiated, you’ll receive a QR code via email.
- Visit a participating Happy Returns Return Bar location within 50 miles of the shipping address on your order — no box or printed label needed.
- Simply present your QR code and item(s) at the Return Bar.
- The staff will scan your code, process your return instantly, and your refund or exchange will be triggered right away.
Please note: Return protection purchased through Checkout+ does not cover the $4 Happy Returns fee, as this drop-off service is separate.
Add protection at checkout for $2.50 to cover the return or exchange of items within that order without paying additional fees for shipping and handling.
Please note: this benefit only applies to individual orders that include a Checkout+ purchase and does not run in perpetuity. Does not apply to Happy Returns fees. Final sale items are excluded and cannot be returned or exchanged.
Sale items, items marked “exchange only” at the time of purchase, and orders that include a gift with purchase are not eligible for a refund. These items may only be returned for store credit, issued in the form of a Fair Harbor Gift Card.
If your return falls into one of these categories, our system will automatically process your refund as a gift card rather than to your original method of payment.
Our Shop Now feature allows you to use your Fair Harbor return credit immediately toward purchasing something else on our site. Instead of receiving a standard refund, you can apply the credit toward any new item of your choice.
How does Shop Now work?
When you start a return within our returns portal, you’ll see the option to:
- Exchange eligible styles for a different size or color, or
- Use your return credit toward any available items in our assortment.
- If you choose Shop Now, your return credit is applied instantly at checkout so you can complete your new purchase at the time of making your selections.
Do I receive extra credit by using Shop Now?
While the "Shop Now" credit is not a bonus credit, if the item you’re returning was purchased during a promotion or with a discount code, your refund amount may be lower than the item’s current full price. Choosing Shop Now gives you an increased spending amount so you can reorder the size/color you want at full price without paying extra out of pocket. This credit is automatically applied during the Shop Now checkout and isn’t issued after the order is placed.
Please note: this is not a store credit or gift card—it can only be used at the time you select the Shop Now option during your return. It does not cover the price difference of purchasing higher priced items.
Can I choose Shop Now after submitting my return?
- No. The Shop Now option must be selected during the initial return process.
- If you complete your return for a refund and place a new order separately, the additional Shop Now credit cannot be applied retroactively.
We can only offer refunds, returns, or exchanges for eligible orders placed on fairharborclothing.com.
If you purchased through another retailer (like a retail store, Amazon, or a third-party website), returns and exchanges must be handled directly with that seller, following their return policy.
