Returns
Domestic returns must be requested within 45 days of your order date for a refund or store credit. Once the label has been created, you will have 28 days to drop it off at your local carrier to receive a refund.
After 28 days, the return label will expire, and you will need to contact Customer Service for a new return label.
Shipping fees are not refundable.
For domestic returns we offer two methods to return merchandise:
- Free Returns – Customer must use Happy Returns and return merchandise to a Happy Returns bar with the provided QR code from the returns portal on our website.
- Box and Ship Returns – will incur a $7 return shipping fee, requiring you to print a provided label and return via USPS, which will be deducted from your refund.
If you select to complete an exchange or store credit, the return shipping fee will be waived.
Please allow between 1-2 weeks for processing your return.
At Fair Harbor, we want you to enjoy the places you love—effortlessly. Our exchange policy for sale items reflects that same ease. Here’s what you need to know:
- You can exchange sale items or request store credit, but we don’t offer refunds for sale items.
- Please do this within 45 days of your original purchase, and make sure that the items are unworn, unwashed, and still have their tags attached.
- If you decide to exchange a sale item for something else, you can choose an item of equal or greater value—just cover the difference if it’s more.
- For store credit, there will be a handling fee of either $3.50 or $7.00, depending on your return method.
Customer Service reserves the right to add a return fee to any order requiring a modification to our standard return policy.
Visit our site to initiate a return or exchange and create your prepaid shipping label to send back your gear. With your order number and shipping address, you can request a return for a refund or an exchange for a different size, color, or style. If you have any questions about the returns process, please let us know.
We will exchange/ return any of our women's swimwear within our standard 45 day policy.
Returns of swimwear will only be accepted with the original tags and protective liners intact.
With instant exchanges, your new exchange order is placed immediately. This helps you get your items faster and guarantees that your items are in stock.
To place an instant exchange, we will put a temporary hold on your credit card for $1.00 until we receive your unwanted items. You’ll only be charged for the amount covered by your returned items if your return isn’t in the mail within 28 days of submitting.

Our return policy for international orders applies to all customers who have made purchases from Fair Harbor Clothing outside of the United States.
To be eligible for a return, items must be in their original condition, unworn, unwashed, and with all tags attached.
We do not offer exchanges on international orders.
Please contact our customer service team at info@fairharborclothing.com within 45 days of receiving your order. Please provide your order number, details of the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
Shipping
- Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping.
- You must print and label the return package for shipment back to the United States.
- We recommend using a trackable shipping service to ensure safe and timely delivery of your return package.
- Fair Harbor Clothing is not responsible for any lost or damaged return shipments.
Duties and Fees
- Customers are responsible for any duties, taxes, or fees associated with the return of their international order.
- Fair Harbor Clothing will not refund any duties, taxes, or fees incurred during the return process.
Once we receive your returned item(s) and verify their condition, we will process your refund. Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment used for the purchase. Please allow 5-7 business days for the refund to reflect in your account, depending on your payment method and financial institution
Products must be returned unworn, unwashed, in their original condition, with all tags attached. Please include the original order packing slip in your return package. Returns of multiple orders should not be combined.
If your order was purchased using a gift card, you will only be refunded directly back to the gift card.
Products marked Final Sale cannot be returned.
Fair Harbor cannot create return labels for APO/FPO/DPO addresses, as they require customs information for shipping.
Our system issues returns by order. Printing a separate return label for each order returned is best. If, by chance, you returned items from multiple orders in one package, notify the company at info@fairharborclothing.com so they can manually process the refund for all returned items.
Please initiate a return or exchange here to create your prepaid shipping label to send back your gear. Be sure to have your order number and zip code ready. You can find your order number in your confirmation email and also on the packing slip inside your box or envelope.

Please visit the return area of our site to initiate a gift return. Below the prompt “Start a Return” you’ll see an option for a gift return. The recipient needs the order number and shipping zip code to create a return or exchange item and packaging to ship it back.

Refunds are processed within a few business days after we have received your return package. If it’s been longer than a week, let us know.

All exchanges should include the discount on your original order. Once you reach the end of the return section, any price difference will be resolved and the exchange should. Unless you are prompted for additional payment, the exchange should register as even. If there are any issues, please contact us and we will help out.
